Junior front-end developer
Full-time | Permanent | London-based + remote working + travel to Poland as required
Salary £25-35k depending on experience
The Land App is a user-friendly mapping platform and SaaS start-up founded in 2015 with support from Ordnance Survey. Our collaborative, web-based application reduces the reliance on outdated paper maps in the rural sector by helping people to easily create, share and manage digital maps of the land. Our customers range from farms and rural estates to land agents, planning consultants, banks and government agencies. Although we are currently focused on the UK, we are on a mission: to build intuitive technology that empowers people to manage land for sustainable economic, environmental and social benefits.

Having secured further angel investment and with a fast-growing user base, we are now looking for a junior front end developer to join us on our journey. About the role
Based at our office in Geovation, Ordnance Survey’s innovation hub in Farringdon, you will work alongside our in-house developers and nearshore development team in Poland. Your daily duties will include:
- Working closely with the team in an agile environment to build new products and features
- Maintaining and improving existing products and product features, including fixing bugs
- Contributing ideas to our product design and innovation processes
- Any other development tasks that come up as the company grows
For the right candidate, you could also lead pioneering projects as we explore new market opportunities.
You will be excited about building an intuitive and beautiful user experience, keen to work with new technologies and willing and able to learn new skills. As well as attention to detail and good communication skills, you will have:
- Knowledge of User Experience, Visual Design, Wireframes etc
- Experience using GitHub
- Experience using task tools such as Trello, Jira, Confluence etc
