Is The Land App really free?

Yes! Our mission is to help people make more informed decisions about how land is used and managed. Accessibility is at the heart of our mission - we provide you with instant access to relevant data, access to relevant tools, and access to the relevant stakeholders you need to work with to complete your tasks. Since we are passionate about accessibility, we need to ensure the software is accessible so we have decided to make it free.

I need to print Ordnance Survey data. How can I pay?

If you need to print Ordnance Survey data, we offer two ways to pay for your prints:

  • At the time you download a print with a valid debit or credit card
  • In arrears at the end of each month with either a direct debit mandate or a valid card

How do I add my debit or credit card?

If you do not already have a valid credit or debit card linked to your account, you will be prompted to “Add a valid payment method” when you attempt to download a print. You can then simply click the button “Add a valid payment method” to add your card details.

How do I set up a direct debit with you?

If you would prefer to pay by direct debit, simply login to your Land App account and follow these instructions:

If the person creating your direct debit mandate is not yourself, then that individual will need to register with us to create their own account, login and follow the instructions above to set up the mandate.

Can I have a single invoice to cover multiple users across my company’s account?

Yes. This is available for customers who pay monthly in arrears. On the 1st of each month, you will receive a single invoice that includes all the costs incurred in the previous month by all users within your company account, as well as a detailed report with further information on each cost item in the invoice. Please contact us using the chat button in the bottom right of your screen if you would like to enable this for your account.

I need to buy Ordnance Survey data. How can I pay?

If you need to purchase Ordnance Survey data for your farm or estate, please contact us on 0207 754 0367, email support@thelandapp.com or message us using the chat button in the bottom right of your screen so we can provide you with an exact quote. If you choose to purchase the data, we will send you an invoice which you can pay within 30 days by bank transfer.

Will I be charged to print if I purchase OS data for my estate?

If you purchase OS data you will not incur any costs to print within the area of data you have bought for your estate. This applies for a period of 12 months, after which you will need to repurchase the data. As per OS licencing terms, you will be charged to print data outside of the area you have purchased.

I have already purchased OS data for my estate. Will I still be charged to print?

No. If you have already purchased OS data for your estate, please email support@thelandapp.com with a copy of your OS purchase agreement. You will not incur a charge to print OS data for the area you have already purchased. However, as per OS licencing terms, you will incur a charge for printing OS data outside of the area you have purchased.

Can I purchase OS data for my client?

We do not currently support the ability to purchase OS data for a client. However, this is something we plan to introduce in the near future.

Will I be charged for customer support?

No. We provide you with best-in-class customer support free-of-charge. We do this through our live chat support - accessible via the blue button in the bottom right of your screen - as well as our library of tutorial videos and guidance notes which are available here: https://help.thelandapp.com/en/

Can I print for free?

Yes! You always have the option to print for free using the OpenStreetMap base map.
